Baccarat is one of the most popular casino card games. Since its invention in Europe more than a century ago, it has maintained its popularity. It is a very elegant game that is usually played in an exclusive area within the casino.

The name Baccarat comes from the Italian word zero. The zero is the value of the face card and 10.

The main objective of this game is to have a total of close to nine. The exceptions to the cards are the aces that are worth 1 and 10. The Baccarat Card is composed of 2 or 3 cards. Face cards are worth zero.

Baccarat

It’s the worst hand in Baccarat.

Banco

It means The Banker.

Banker – Player Bet

It is not a draw. It means betting on the dealer or the player.

Bankroll

The player’s total money.

Caller

This is what the dealer at the table in charge of the cards is told.

Carte

It is a French word used to request a letter from the dealer.

Chemin De Fer

This is a variation of European Baccarat. The player is the bank, he deals the cards and therefore takes the bets.

Commission

It is the 5% fee that the house takes each time it wins the bank bets.

Coup

Round of Baccarat.

Croupier

They are the casino workers. They deal with the cards and supervise the betting.

Face Cards

The Jack, Queen, and King.
